What are the 3 tests to become an ADI?

Part 1 - Theory

The ADI Part 1 is like the learner driver theory test but tougher. As an experienced driver, you'll answer more questions, and the passing score is higher. 100 questions, and you need a score of 85 to pass.

Part 2 - Driving Ability

The ADI Part 2 is like the practical driving test for learners, but with higher expectations. You're allowed only 6 driving faults during the one-hour session.

Part 3 - Instructional Ability

The ADI Part 3 assesses your teaching skills. An examiner will observe you while you instruct a pupil. Most trainees take between 6 to 12 months to complete their training.

Requirements

To start your training, you must:

Be over 21 years old.
Have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years.
Pass the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Have no more than 5 penalty points on your licence.
